Kisses and love

Here two fascinating pieces of art which represent love. The first one is Klimt's Love (1895). It was one of the first masterpiece of the Austrian painter. We can see a topic which has to do with  lovers involved in passion, allegoric elements which project the work into a higher  ground. Above the couple appear some faces representing youth, old age and adverse forces, which were typical presences of the symbolist painting at the en d of the century, referring to the difficulties and expiration of existence.

The second one , Francesco Hayez The Kiss (1859).Picture rich in symbology and reflects the historical context of the independence wars, though the most immediate reading key is that of the passionate kiss of the couple predomining the scene, being a romantic symbol posteriorly used in cinema.
